How-to make a Google Voice account for chat (freepbx)

 

I would like to first add it is difficult to do this while using a non-gmail account ,  This article assumes that you already have a Gmail account.

 

 

 

1. Go to google and log in.
2. Click this link for Google Voice .
3. Click add number at the bottom left
4. after number is added click the settings button
5. unchecked forward to you phone,  and make sure forward to google chat is checked (if connection to freepbx)

 

That is it!!!    you can continue with your freepbx building 🙂
