While earlier fitness trackers simply monitored your heart rate, how many calories you’ve burned and how far you’ve run, newer models are providing more in-depth data. One such example is Jawbone’s new $149 UP24 wristband, which is designed to deliver real-time data.

The UP24 uses low-energy Bluetooth to wirelessly connect with your phone, which enables it to provide you with updates in real time. This means the new model of Up can send a notification when you reach your step goal or when you’re approaching it. Other than acting as a real-time workout assistant, Jawbone touts its UP24 as an all-around health device. For instance, the UP24 can be used to send notifications with a summary of your recent sleep activity when you wake up.

Jawbone has also launched a new version of its fitness app to accompany the UP24. UP 3.0 comes with an insights engine that helps you make progress based on your own personalized data. The “Today I Will” feature poses certain challenges to its user, such as going to bed at a certain time  or drinking a certain quantity of water each day. The user can choose to accept or decline these challenges.

The bracelet comes in small, medium and large sizes and can be purchased in Onyx and Persimmon color options. Both the UP24 wristband and UP 3.0 iOS app are available today.
