5 Website Development Tips To Boost Your Business Growth Exponentially

When Samsung isn’t busy working on the world’s first curved display smartphone, it’s focusing efforts toward creating the Galaxy S5, according to a new report. The Korea-based manufacturer is reportedly readying a Galaxy S4 successor for as early as January, although this hasn’t been confirmed.

Korean news source Naver cites Samsung insiders in its report, saying that the company seeks to launch an S4 follow-up much earlier than expected. According to Naver, Samsung is disappointed in sales of the Galaxy S4 despite it selling 20 million units within its first four months on the market. The second quarter of 2013, however, hasn’t been too successful for Samsung. In addition to shares falling by 13 percent since April, Apple’s iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s have been outselling the Galaxy S4.

There’s no word on any features or specifications we can expect from the S5, but some rumors have suggested that Samsung will swap out the S4’s plastic body for a premium carbon fiber or metal material. It’s too early to gather any solid leads on what we’ll see in the S5, but some are speculating based on Samsung’s recent technological developments. For instance, the company recently unveiled its Exynos 5430 chip with 64 bit architecture to rival Apple’s iPhone 5s and a 16-megapixel ISOCELL camera sensor with optical image stabilization and better low-light capabilities.

While it seems unlikely that Samsung would shake up its product launch cycle, the switch could make sense. The Galaxy S4 hit the market before some of its rivals such as the iPhone 5s and LG G2, making its processor slightly outdated. The G2 is one of the first available smartphones to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chip, while the iPhone 5s comes with 64-bit processing. The S4, by comparison, uses Qualcomm’s previous-generation Snapdragon 600 CPU.

We’ll be looking out for upcoming rumors as 2014 approaches, but we won’t know anything for sure until Samsung says the word.
